Easter Egg Hunts Part 4

This egg hunt was through Dan's company. There were ton's of eggs.

We got to the hunt a little early, so we played at the park until it was "go-time"

Hannah keeps telling me that she likes to climb trees. I asked her to show me and this is how far she got.

I guess Rachel is a chocolate lover. She passed up all that candy and only wanted the chocolate eggs. I even tried handing her a lolly-pop. She dropped it and screamed for the egg. I think that means that chocolate loving is genetic.

See? Hannah took one of Rachel's eggs. She didn't have it for long. Rachel got it back.

Rachel walked around swinging her basket. She kept spilling out eggs so we had to empty her basket so she could swing without having to stop and pick up her lost goods.

She ate all the eggs and then agreed to try a sucker. She lost interest pretty quickly. Hooray for chocolate!

Easter Egg Hunts Part 3

We went to Mercer Island for one of the hunts. It was a little crazy, but the girls did great and had lots of fun!
There was a little park so we played for a while until it started raining.

Hannah loves animals.

Little Rachel likes to pick flowers. The trick is stopping her from eating them.

Here is a little video of the start of this hunt for those of you who haven't experienced the craziness first hand. It's pretty much mayhem. And we were on the "under 3" side of the hunt.

East Egg Hunts! Part 2

These photos are from the YMCA Eggstravaganza. We went there last year, too. The girls had a blast.

Cute sisters!

Hannah wanted to drive the fire truck. She walked right up to three fire-men and asked them if she could drive the truck. Without waiting for a response she went right over and started climbing up. One of them asked me, "she's not shy, is she?" Nope.

Go fish!
Rachel was doing everything she could to get to the bunny and the duck. She kept saying "duck!" "quack!" and pointing. While we waited in line she kept running to them and would scream at me for stopping her. When it was finally our turn she changed her mind about seeing the bunny and the duck. Hannah did NOT want to see them either. Oh well.
Hannah made 3 of the 5 at the bean bag toss.

Rachel did make it, but I didn't get a photo.

They had a little egg hunt for children 3 and under. They got to find 5 eggs. It was a nice pace for Rachel, but a little slow for Hannah.

More Easter post's coming soon!

Easter Egg Hunts! Part 1

This year we went to several (six) egg hunts.
Here are a few pictures from the Gillman Village egg hunt.

Little Rachel couldn't get enough candy! If we weren't on top of things she would eat it with the wrapper on! Have you ever tried to take candy from a baby (ie: pry open her mouth and try to get that drooly peice of chocolate still in the wrapper out from a secret pocket inside her little mouth without getting bit by those sharp snaggleteeth? Where does she hide it? I'll never know!)? NOT easy.

Gillman was a great "warm up" for the girls. They sure had lots of fun!
