Costume Party

A few days before Halloween Hannah's preschool class had a costume party. She wore her costume for a while in the beginning of class, but by the time the party started she wanted it off.

Here is Hannah with her friend, Bella.

After playing a few games and singing Halloween songs, the kids lined up to go trick-or-treating around the classroom.

Rachel got comfy and watched.
Hannah trick-or-treating.
They had a little party with yummy snacks.

Rachel got to participate too.

Here is the class singing one of thier songs. I liked how Rachel wanted to sing, too.

And a bonus one because I accidentally uploaded the wrong one first :)

Pumpkin Carving 2010

Here are the pictures from our pumpkin carving this year. At first the girls were pretty unsure about wanting to participate.

Hannah cried...
Rachel observed....
and then Rachel got brave and grabbed a handful of punpkin guts.
When Hannah saw that Rachel could do it, she stopped her crying and got to work.
And we were up to our elbows in pumpkin guts.

Both girls did an awesome job on thier pumpkins.

Halloween Train

On the Saturday before Halloween we took the girls on the Snoqualmie Halloween Train. They got to wear their costumes and ride the decorated train.

They got spider rings.

Sisters.

Me and my cute girls.

Here is the conductor. He was pretty funny.
Going over one of the bridges across Snoqualmie River.
Silly ghost faces.

The girls had so much fun wearing thier costumes and running around by the train.

Here is Hannah hiding behind the totem pole. She would jump out to scare people and shout "Boo!" then laugh and say "ha-ha! It's only Hannah!".

One of the local bakeries offered free sugar cookies when you showed them your Halloween train ticket.
It was so fun! Hooray for the Halloween train!

Finally Halloween Costumes!

Here are the pictures from Halloween night. Finally. I am going to back-blog a bit after this post because there are more halloween type posts that I don't want to leave out. But for now, here are the girls at our ward Trunk or Treat event.

My Mom and I made Hannah's costume (mostly my mom, but I helped, too). Hannah loved it even though everyone thought she was a beautiful angel, or a princess, or a winter fairy. She's a ghost people. And she told them so, too. "I'm a scary ghost! Boo-oo-oooo!"
Hannah tried to eat Rachel's donut. She was unsuccessful.
I didn't get any pictures of the actual trick or treating (bummer!) but here are our pumpkins.

Dan's pumpkin. Now Rachel recognizes Homer.
This is Hannah's pumpkin (pumpkin carving post to come soon).
All the pumpkins together.
Stay tuned for more Halloween posts.
