Kidzbounce

Awhile ago a friend told me about a place called Kidzbounce. We went to check it out with Grandma. Let me just say that we will be going again soon. It's a big warehouse with 5 or 6 jumping houses and slides. There were probably 10 children there. And it was basically supervised by the parents. Hannah was in heaven.
She could jump and slide for as long as she wanted!

Rachel had fun too. She even got a whole bouncy house to herself for awhile. It was perfect for her because she was able to jump at her own pace without being hurled into the air by some bigger child.
And they had balls that they let the kids take into the houses with them.
Rachel was even able to climb a ladder in the obstacle course by herself.

Hannah got to climb up the big slide instead of the stairs. She thought that was great.

We had so much fun. I'm so glad we went.

Children's Museum With Grandma

We went to the children's museum in Factoria with Grandma. My girls love to go to the museum.

It was fun to watch Hannah playing with all the little toys.

We built a "nest" in this hollow tree. Hannah decided to have a nap in her nest.

Rachel in the actual nest.

Rachel cleaning up all the toys.

Driving the big truck.

Hannah filled the truck with gas for us. Thanks, Hannah!

Rachel had a snack while Hannah played with Grandma.
Another fun day at the muesem!

Friday Harbor

For Dan's birthday we went for a day of whale watching in the San Juan Islands. We toured the coast for a few hours before we arrived at Friday Harbor. It was great to see the beautiful places we live so close to.
Once we arrived in Friday Harbor it was just a few minutes before we saw some whales.

There are a few whale pictures and I'm sure most of you don't care, but it's fun for Dan and I to remember so I'm posting them anyway ;)

This whale (above) is Ruffles. He is 60 years old. And very big. He is the son of Granny--the 100 year old whale who is the leader of the J-pod. There are 3 resident pods that live year round in the waters off the San Juan Islands. We saw two pods one our watch.

After a great morning of whale watching we returned to Friday Harbor for an afternoon of tourism. Friday Harbor is the largest inhabited city in the San Juan Islands. It has 2,000 permanent residents. It was such a quaint little town and we had some delicious fish and chips at a restaurant on the harbor.

On our boat ride back to Seattle we saw a bald eagle nest (above). The birds weren't at home, but it was really cool to see their gigantic nest in the wild.

We had such a fun day. Happy Birthday Dan! And thanks Grandma and Grandpa!

Train Park with Grandma

Here are a few pictures from one of our many trips to the park.

Some kids had this bucket and didn't mind sharing with Rachel.

Blue Angels

A few weeks ago the Blue Angels came to town for Seafair. The weather wasn't the best and we missed seeing them in the air, but we did go out to the Museum of Flight to look at the planes and see the pilots.

Rachel kept shouting "airplane!"

We are hoping for better weather next year.

The Drive In

A few weekends ago we decided to be brave and go to the drive in for a double feature with the girls. We thought they would sleep. We were wrong.

We ended up having so much fun with the girls. And they did sleep through the second movie. But so did Dan. :)
