Coloring Together

It is so fun for me to see my girls playing together. The other day I found them coloring together.

Hide and Seek

Here are the girls playing hide and seek in the kitchen cupboard. They think they're so tricky.

Hungry, Hungry Rachel

Rachel is pretty "scrappy" but she can eat. This is a typical breakfast for this 22lb. girl.
yogurt (a whole big one), cereal with milk, a pancake (or two), fruit, and milk to drink.

We love a girl who can eat!

Pike Place and the Train

For my birthday a few weeks ago we took the train to Seattle and spent a few hours walking around Pike Place. It was a gorgeous day downtown. Thanks for the fun day, Dan.
On the train.

With the flowers in the market.
We packed a lunch for the girls and stopped by the water to eat it.

Rachel wasn't sure what to do about these birds who didn't fly away when she ran towards them (there was a man feeding them nearby).
Riding the Pike Place Pig.
Smelling my birthday flowers on the train ride home.
We got some mini doughnuts at the market and ate them on the train.

We stopped at the train park on the way home to enjoy the sunny day.

The girls gathered a bunch of acorns for our collection.
It was a fun day!

Fish Patchery with Josh and Karissa

Josh and Karissa came over a few weeks ago and brought us some yummy dinner (thanks again!) We walked down to the fish hatchery to see the salmon.

The stream was full of fish.
Looking at the fish in the holding tanks with Uncle Josh.

Dan was skipping on the way home. :)
These next pictures are from a different day, but I'm adding them here.
We were on our way home from picking up Hannah from school. The girls had to stop and check out the slug.

Hannah tried to catch it by luring it onto a leaf. It worked. It took a while but the slug found it's way onto the leaf. Hannah picked up the leaf and tried to take it home but it kept "slugging around" on the leaf and she didn't like that, so she decided to set him free.

Lake Wahington Ship Canal

A few weeks ago we went to the Lake Washington Ship Canal.

We went there to see the ships pass through the canal, but we didn't get to see any. We also heard that the salmon ladder was really great but it turns out we like the Issaquah one better.

Luckily they also had a big garden that we walked around in for a while.

I asked Rachel to smell the flowers, and I guess she didn't want to.
