Rachel's Birthday Party: San Francisco Part 2

After our fun day in the city (see previous post) we went home and had a little party for Rachel.












Rachel loves Big Bird. Remember this? She carries this photo around our house saying "Big Bird".


So, we took the hint and made her a Big Bird cake. I think she really liked it.

Rachel was a little confused by the candle.

San Francisco: Part 1

For the girl's birthday's we got to spend a week in San Francisco visiting Dan's family. On Friday we did some touristy things. We went to the Golden Gate Bridge. Even though I lived there for two summers, I had never been!

Rachel is 1! When you ask her how old she is she hold up her little finger. So cute.

Lombard Street (another first for me!)

We got to get some yummy ice cream from Ghirardelli for Rachel's birthday.

It looks like I'm feeding Hannah this chocolate, but actually she stole it from my ice-cream and I'm taking it back before she can have a bite! Instinct reaction! Sorry, Hannah!

Hannah is 3!

Hannah had her 3rd birthday yesterday! I can't believe that she is so big. We had a great time celebrating her birthday in San Francisco--I have photos to post--they will be up soon! We LOVE this girl! Happy Birthday Hannah!

Happy Birthday Rachel!

Today is Rachel's 1st birthday! I can't believe how fast this year has gone by. Our little Rachel is growing so quickly.

We are in San Francisco to celebrate her birthday. I will post more pictures after we get back to Washington but until then...Happy Birthday baby Rachel! We love you!

Hooray!

Hooray!!! Rachel has been walking for a few weeks now and I was finally able to get a video to upload (after weeks of trying!). Here is a very short video of little Rachel--but at least it's something. Hopefully a better video coming soon.

Familiar Sites at the Cougar Zoo

This girl makes me laugh. Every time we go to the zoo she plays with the rocks and hugs the kangaroo sculpture. Nevermind the 4 tigers!

At least she has fun.

BK Crown

Ok. So. Dan thinks I'm crazy sometimes with the camera--and maybe he has a point (how many pictures do you need of a girl wearing a BK crown?)--but still--I couldn't narrow them down. SO here they are. Sorry if you think there are too many. Decisions are not my strong point.

I love this one--I am wearing one of the crowns (trying to get her to put it on) and I think her look just says it all--"are you sure you should be wearing that, Mom?!"

First Cookie

Can you believe that Rachel just had her first REAL cookie (that I know of anyway)? With chocolate chips and everything. She enjoyed it I think...though she is no cookie monster. Also, can you believe this girl has NO teeth yet? Not one. Oh well. I guess I should be glad we haven't had to deal with teething yet.

Tub Time

Hannah really likes to help wash Rachel. She especially likes to rinse her hair.

Go Karts!

A few weeks ago Rachel learned how to turn her little cart. Since then our house has become a race-track. Rachel is loving her newfound freedom and I love watching my little girls play together!

Library Trip

While Dan was working on Saturday the girls and I took a little trip to the Bellevue library. I think that Rachel loves the library even more that Hannah (if that's possible)!

She had a great time crawling all over the whole library. She had a few librarians following her around because they thought she was so cute. One even insisted on giving her stickers.

Botanical Garden Lights

We took the girls the the Bellevue Botanical Garden to see the Christmas lights last weekend.

Rachel loved all the lights. She kept saying "oooooohhh"
