Hannah's first pet!

Caterpillars count as pets, right? Well...they do in our house. I found this fuzzy caterpillar on our porch the other day and scooped him up to show Hannah. She was very interested and wanted to hold him all day. She didn't quite get that you can't hug a caterpillar too tightly. He did pretty well though...he lasted 3 days.

Dessert

I had to make a dessert for enrichment the other night and Hannah was terrified of my hand mixer. She kept crying and running away. Eventually I finished the dessert and offered Hannah a beater to lick as a peace offering. She was weary at first but after a few licks she changed her mind. And then she saw the jello...her favorite dessert.

Play-dough

I made Hannah some play-dough a while ago. She really likes to play with it and squish it in her hands. Her favorite thing to make is a snake so she can say "ssssss." She also likes to make rocks.

Ha-pup

For those of you who don't speak "Hannah" that means ketchup--one of Hannnah's favorite foods lately. The other day I asked her what she wanted for breakfast and she said "ha-pup." I tried to offer other suggeestions but she would say "bope" (nope) and then ask for "ha-pup" again. So I gave in (it's healthy right? tomatoes?). I made her some eggs and luckily she ate those too.

Happy Birthday Grandpa!

Today is Dan's dad's birthday and Hannah wanted to wish her Grandpa a very happy birthday.

Happy Fathers Day!

We just wanted to say Happy Father's Day to all of you wonderful dads (and grandpas and greats and uncles and well..you get the idea) out there. So Happy Father's Day. We hope it was a nice day for everyone.











And a special thanks to Dan for being such a wonderful daddy to our precious Hannah. They always have so much fun together. We love you Dan!

We went to the park again the other day and Dan and Hannah had so much fun playing together,

Hide and Seek

Has anybody seen Hannah?

The pool opened on Memorial day and the weather was nice so Hannah got to go swimming. She had a great time.

llamas

Every morning after Hannah gets up I ask her what she wants to do that day and she always says "llama." She runs to the jar of coins in my room and says "money." I lift her up so she can get a quarter and then she says "treat." She loves to feed the llamas their treats and she knows it takes money to get the treats from the dispenser. Here are a few pictures from our last visits to the zoo.





The first stop at the zoo is the rocky path so Hannah can choose a rock or two to take with her.

Next we go to the "Magic Forrest" where you can feed alpacas, emu's, cranes, wallabies, and deer.















In the "Magic Forrest" there are statues of all kinds of animals. Hannah enjoys the statues as much as the real animals. She likes to hug them and let them smell the flowers she picked.









Hannah always checks the dispensers just in case someone left a treat or two behind. Sometimes she is lucky and finds one.
