Wild Wild West

For our stake conferce the stake hosted a WWW themed day in the park. There were a ton of people there. They had giant bouncy toys, pony rides, balloon artists, face painting and a ton of other fun activities. Hannah had a great time.

Here she is on the pony ride.

Going down the giant slide with daddy.

Giving daddy a hug.

Goin' fishin'

The "duck pond" is where we spent most of our time. Hannah just loves the water. She was soaked.

This is Evan. He is in nursery with Hannah. He is almost 2 1/2 but he's so tiny next to Hannah!

After all that playing Hannah was a very thirsty girl. Bring on the water.

18 Month Check Up

We finally got Hannah in to see a pediatrician for her 18 month check up. Overall she is very healthy. She is 33" tall (in the 75th%) and weighs 25lbs (the 50th%). We did a lot of prep work before the doctors appointment playing with her doctors kit, and talking about what was going to happen. She was very excited to go and kept saying "doctor" and "nurse" and then "tummy" "eyes" "nose" "ears" "knee" as we drove to the office in anticipation of what was about to come. I thought we were going to be ok. But no. She screamed the whole time we were in the doctors office and kept saying "no more!" before they had even measured her. She wouldn't even stand on the scale so I had to stand on it while holding her and then alone so they could figure out her weight. I had to hold her down on the table so they could measure her length (why don't the just let them stand next to a yard stick?). I also had to hold her down for the doctor to look at her tummy, eyes, nose, ears and knees. Oh yeah, and of course, for the shots. This part of being a mom is no fun. When it was all over the nice nurse tried to give Hannah a sticker but Hannah screamed like the nurse had the needle again. But the second we were in the waiting room she was all smiles. She played with toys and hugged random children and smelled the flowers on the way to the car. On the way home she said "doctor, tummy, eyes, nose, ears, knees, nurse!" like she had a great time. What an ordeal. Does it ever get any better? Poor Hannah.

For Aunt Lauren

Sorry that this is side-ways--you'll just have to turn your heads. And let me explain about the outfit. Hannah had only been up a little while (hence the jammies and crazy hair) but she had already found the time to empty my shirt drawer and try a few on. She does that a lot. After she empties the drawer she looks around and says "mess" and then chooses a shirt and brings it to me and says "help you" and then "wear it". How can I resist? Oh, and if I happen to choose a shirt to wear that she wanted to wear that day she gets really upset and cries somthing like, "mommy, no!" "off!" "Hannah wear-it!"

ok. back to the sideways video.

Here is the proof that Hannah can jump. (Lauren was a little skeptical after seeing her attempts a few months ago--where Hannah thought she was jumping but never actually got off the ground). She jumps around like this for hours everyday. She also really likes jumping off of her stool or on the couch. She has a few more bruises these days because she sometimes gets carried away. She can say "jump," "jumping" and "jumped" and sometimes she says "boink, boink, boink" while she jumps.

In June my Gramps passed away and Hannah and I flew to Utah for his funeral. We got to see a lot of family while we were there, so we had a nice time despite the sad occasion.

Hannah and Aunt Lauren

Hannah and Uncle Josh

Hannah and cousins, Jade and Gentry.

It was really hot while we were there so my mom got Hannah a little pool for the back yard. She loved to play in it and didn't mind the cold hose water.

We also got to see Aunt Sara while we were there. She took Hannah swimming at the Bountiful Bubble (or so it used to be called). We had a great time at this fun pool.

Blue Angels

A few weeks ago we took Hannah to Mercer Island to watch the Blue Angels and play in the lake. We took a blanket and some snacks and had a really fun day.

Feelin' Patriotic

So, since I didn't post for two motnhs, I kind-of missed the 4th of July post. So I am making it up now. We took Hannah to a day in the park. There were slides and bands playing and fireworks and a ton of people there. We had a great time walking around.

Happy 4th of July!

Happy Birthday Dan

Yesterday was Dan's birthday. We went to a Seahawks game on Saturday to celebrate. We got great seats and had a really fun time. Hannah lasted until the 3rd quarter and enjoyed the trains outside the stadium more than the actual game. She kept saying it was "loud"

I know this one is dark but it's Dan and Hannah outside the stadium. Hannah is doing the touchdown signal. :)

On Monday we opened presents. Of course, Hannah helped.

For his birthday Dan got Hannah a fisher price garage. They put it together and Hannah played with it for most of the night.

For his birthday Dan wanted a chocolate cherry cake. I really don't like cooked cherries. But since it was his birthday I made him this cake. I picked off the cherries and enjoyed the chocolate frosting. Dan and Hannah seemed to like the cherries.
