Nesting

When Dan bought a soccer net for the girls I don't think he intended it to be used as a "nest."

Another School Picture

These are a few pictures from Hannah's first day of school by herself. Tuesdays are her sharing day. She chose to bring her dog, Beckett, to share.

One of the things they are learning about in September is apples. Hannah is loving the theme so far. The tree she is standing by is now all full of apple crafts. They even made applesauce one day for snack. Hannah really liked it and asked the teacher for the recipe.

Labor Day 2010

Dan had to work on Labor Day this year. After he got home he took us to Emerald Downs to see some horse races.

Josh and Karissa met us there.

I think Rachel has a new favorite person.
All day she wanted Uncle Josh.

They had pony rides and jumping houses for the kids.
Even Rachel rode the ponies! This was the first time she didn't cry. Go Rachel! She did cry when her turn was done.
Here we are waiting for the race to start. Hannah picked horse number 5 to win.

Crossing the finish line--did you notice who won? Number 5.
Too bad we didn't place any bets.
After the races we went out to dinner at a local hamber place, XXX Burgers.
Dan shared his root beer float with the girls.
Hannah and Rachel shared this giant hot-dog.
We ended the night with one final pony ride.
It was so fun. Thanks for the fun day Dan!

Fish Hatchery

We were excited to tell Dan about the fish in the river so after he came home from work we went on a little walk to the Fish Hatchery.

There were tons of fish in the river trying to jump the ladder. We saw some in the holding tanks that are bigger than Rachel.

The girls had a fun time running around and seeing the fish.

I love this picture-it feels like classic Rachel to me.
On our walk home we picked some blackberries.

Checking out the slugs.

We sure had a busy day (including the last 4 posts), but it was a fun one!

Preschool-Part 3

After school we decided to go to the park (which is across the field from the school).

A few friends went, too. Hannah and Adam seem to get along really well. Maybe because he had Spiderman shoes and she had a Spiderman shirt.

Benson and Adam both really wanted to push Hannah in the swing.

It was so fun for Hannah to have frineds to play with at the park. Usually she tried to play with kids there who are older and they aren't always nice to tag-a-long 3 year olds.
Hannah helped Adam up the climbing wall.
After a long time at the park the girls and I decided to take the bus to Costco for a special "first day of school" hotdog.

It sure was a fun day! Hooray for preschool!
