It's A Girl!

Most likely, that is. We had our ultrasound this week, but little baby was being shy. The tech said she was 85% sure that it is a girl. We did find out that baby weighs 14 ounces (putting her in the 59th%). I am 21 weeks along and the most recent "due date" is Feb. 2nd. We did get some ultrasound pictures, but I haven't been able to get them onto the computer yet. When I do, I will post them. For now...here is a cute picture of Hannah-who is very excited to be a sister (even though when you ask her if she wants a brother or sister she always says brother).

Some poeple have been asking if I am feeling better. The answer is (thankfully) yes. I am still taking my meds and they are helping a lot. As long as I remember to take them on time and I get enough sleep I usually feel pretty good. Horray for that!

What's Your Name?

A few weeks ago Hannah heard Dan calling me "Ashley" to get my attention when he was outside and I was inside. Ever since then, she has been pretty obsessed with names. She will bring me one of her toys and say "name." So I ask her, "What is his name?" and she will tell me. Then she want's to tell me my name, daddy's name, her name and her last name. She also knows her middle name.

The Farmer in the Dell

Here is Hannah "singing" the farmer in the dell. Sorry it is a little dark, she went behind the rocking chair. And sorry for my singing--but I think it's worth it to hear Hannah.

Here Fishy, Fishy!

Right in our "backyard" is a little stream. Hannah and I were walking to the library yesterday and we stopped to look at the water as usual. Only this time there was a 3 foot salmon right there swimming up the river. I left our stroller on the bridge and ran down with Hannah to get a closer look. We were not disappointed. We stayed about 5 minutes and saw about 15 giant fish. They swam so close and the river was really shallow, so we got to see them really well. Pretty soon I couldn't keep Hannah out of the river, so we continued on to the library only to find that it was closed. We decided to walk across the street and check out the Salmon hatchery. It was so neat to see hundreds of giant salmon trying to jump the ladder! I've never seen anything like it before in my life. There is a salmon festival here in two weeks that is supposed to be a big deal. We are excited to go and check it out.

Birthday

It was my birthday on Sunday and Dan made me homemade pasta and yummy ragu for my birthday dinner. Hannah was a really big help. Oh yeah, have I mentioned that Hannah loves to be naked? I try not to post any nude pictures, but I couldn't help it this time. Hannah took off her clothes after church and there was no way she would let me put even a diaper on her! So, sorry for all the naked pictures.

We made some cupcakes for dessert and Hannah wanted to lick the beaters.

Hannah helped with the presents. Actually, she opened them all. She loves to unwrap presents.

Lately I've been pretty clumsy--even more than usual. I broke almost all of our cups. So Dan got me some new ones for my birthday. He wanted to get me plastic ones, but I said I would return them if he did, so he got me some with really thick glass. haha.

After dinner and presents I frosted the cupcakes. Hannah helped and ate the sprinkles quicker than I could put them on. Then she got a little carried away...

Thanks Dan and Hannah for a great birthday!
