Museum of History and Industry Visit

We went to the MOHAI, the Museum of History and Industry on the banks of lake Union in downtown Seattle.

This was Dan's favorite, a toe truck.
"I've been working on the railroad..."

Rachel like looking at the toys from long ago.

How does it make you feel Nana and Grandma, that the dolls you played with as a child are displayed in a museum?
At the drive in with my girls.

Finally, an interesting exhibit.
They had a real periscope you could look out onto the lake with.

The girls made and decorated paper boats.

There was a station where the girls could make their own baseball card.

Naomi like decorating her card with stickers.
Nice job, Hannah.
They had a boat sailing pond on the spacious grounds.
Naomi liked to follow the geese.
Hannah tried feeding the ducks without any bread, so they tried eating her fingers instead. Ouch!

Chihuly Glass Museum

After visiting the Space Needle, we went to the new Chihuly Blown Glass Museum. We'd definitely recommend everyone going when they come visit us in Seattle.

This is straight out of Dr. Seuss', The Lorax
Everything on display at the museum is made of blown glass.
Chandelier lane
An up close chandelier.

This was Ashley's favorite, an upside down Christmas tree.

It was so hard not touching any of it. It'd be impossible to keep our girls little mitt's off the artwork.

This room was spectacular.

Wow, that was a fabulous museum. Thanks again Grandma for watching the kids so we could go.
