Lunch Time

Here is Naomi trying rice cereal for the first time. You can't really tell from the pictures, but she pretty much hated it. She gagged, cried and kept pushing the spoon away.

We have tried a few more times since then and so far Naomi isn't liking solid foods. We will keep trying.

Naomi is 6 months!

Time sure does fly. Our little Naomi is 6 months. She is such a joy. Naomi is a very busy baby. She is a great sitter and loves to play with her sisters. As long as her mommy is holding her she is the happiest baby on the planet. I was remembering when that was true of my Rachel, too.
And that got me thinking of cute baby Hannah.
6 months is such a fun age.

Preschool Garduation

Even though she still has one more year of preschool, Hannah graduated from her 3-4 year old preschool class. They had a little party and graduation ceremony.
The girls liked the yunny cake.
Hannah wanted to wear a dress for her special day.

Preschool Part 2

Here is Hannah waiting for the door to open to her classroom.
Rachel and I got to stay with her the first day. Rachel loved playing with all the toys.

Hannah with a few of her classmates.
Rachel even got to eat snack with everyone.
They have lots of fun toys.

Hannah's first assignment was to decorate her name tag for her cubby.

Here she is playing in her cubby with Adam. They were sweet and let Rachel play, too.
More pictures coming soon.

My Preschooler!

It's official--Hannah is a preschooler! She started school a few weeks ago. These are the pictures from her first day. That darn silly face kept showing up but I did manage to get one happy smile.

(you can click on the photos to make them bigger)

On the morning of her first day Hannah wanted her fingernails painted. She picked bright red. Then she wanted a bright red clip for her hair to match. Then she picked her outfit: Spiderman shirt ("See, Mom? It matches!"), plaid shorts and glass slippers (a.k.a. sparkly Jelly sandals). I think she was the cutest (and most color coordinated) girl there. Hannah requested that Rachel wear her matching Spiderman shirt. And so she did.

We took the stroller and left early so we had plenty of time to get there. We were so glad that we did because on our way we stopped to look in the river (like we always do) and to our surprise there were fish! The salmon must have known it was a special day.

I'll be back tomorrow with more back to school pictures.

6 Wonderful Years!

Dan and I celebrated our 6th anniversary while we were in San Francisco. Dan surprised me with a date in the city and WICKED!
We started out our day by visiting Taqueria la Cumbre for some yummy Mexican food. We heard about this restaraunt here. It was good, but we still think this one is better.

Then we went to Pier 39 to visit the sea lions. Dan always likes to see them.

After the pier we walked around little Italy for a while and we went here for dinner. So yummy.
Then it was off to Wicked. It was so much fun. I'm so glad that I've finally seen Wicked. It was a really great day. I loved getting to spend the whole day--kid free (thanks Grandma and Grandpa for watching the girls)--with my wonderful husband. Thank's, Dan, for such a great day. I love you.

We're Here!

After 16 long hours in this giant yellow truck...we are finally here. Luckily for Hannah, she got to miss out on our long drive. Instead she played with Grandma and Grandpa in California. We really missed her while she was gone, but we're so glad she was off having fun instead of crying in the car. Thanks everyone in Menlo Park for playing with Hannah for us!

Hannah and Grandma flew up the day after we arrived. We did a lot of fun things with Grandma while she was here. We're saving those pictures for the next post. Here is Hannah playing in the big truck before we took it back. Too bad she doesn't have a licence!

Check out those top teeth! Four of them came in just before we moved. And she's working on two more on the bottom.
