Easter Egg Hunts! Part 1

This year we went to several (six) egg hunts.
Here are a few pictures from the Gillman Village egg hunt.

Little Rachel couldn't get enough candy! If we weren't on top of things she would eat it with the wrapper on! Have you ever tried to take candy from a baby (ie: pry open her mouth and try to get that drooly peice of chocolate still in the wrapper out from a secret pocket inside her little mouth without getting bit by those sharp snaggleteeth? Where does she hide it? I'll never know!)? NOT easy.

Gillman was a great "warm up" for the girls. They sure had lots of fun!

Sleepy Rachel

Rachel and I usually read a book or two in the rocking chair before bed. The other night she was wanting to read her books but it was only like 6:30 so I wanted to wait a little bit before putting her to bed. I let her play in her room while I went to do the dinner dishes. After a while I realized it was pretty quiet and went to check on Rachel. I thought it was so sweet to see her sleeping all curled up in the chair. Guess she was pretty tired!

Snoqualmie Falls

We are lucky enough to live about 15 minutes from one of Washington's most visited tourist attractions...Snoqualmie Falls. A few weekends ago there was a beautiful, sunny day and we took advantage of it!

There is a hike that takes you to the bottom of the falls but it is a mile straight down and then up again, so we skipped the hike (for the girls' of course).

Last year we took a train ride to the top of the falls, but this was a better view.

The girls had a great time running around and enjoying the fresh air.

They had so much fun chasing each other around the park.

(click to enlarge and see a side view of "the tooth" with a peek at those shy bottom ones!)

Rachel loves to be chased by Hannah. She kept running away from her and diving into my arms.

Thanks Dan for taking us to the falls! We had such a fun day with you!

Tired Hannah

I guess this girl was pretty tired. She fell asleep in the chair like this! I carried her to bed after I snapped a few pictures and she kept crying "Hannah's not tired!"

Nana's Visit- Thursday

On Thursday we did the tourist thing in Seattle. We visited Pike Place Market.
We walked down the street to the Seattle Art Museum.
The girls had a great time in the playroom at the SAM.
Hannah served some tea to Nana.

We also got to go to the outdoor Olympic Sculpture Park and even got a little view of the Space Needle.

Nana and Aunt Karissa

We had a great visit with Nana. Thanks for coming! We miss you! Come again soon!

Nana's Visit: Childrens Museum

One of the days we went to the childrens museum. I didn't get very many pictures there, but I loved this one of Hannah. She was pretending to be a rabbit.

Rachel liked riding the little horse.

The girls together in a little car.

Nana's Visit: The Park

A few weeks ago my mom got to come for a little visit. We were so happy she could come. After we picked her up from the airport we headed to our favorite park.

Aunt Karissa got to spend most of the week with us, too!

Thanks for playing at the park with the girls--they sure had a lot of fun!

Rachels tooth

Rachel has three teeth! Hooray! The funny thing is that the one on top isn't in the center--it's off to her left. It's pretty cute. The two on the bottom are camera shy. She is working on a few more so I wanted to get this picture up!
PS--If you can't see the tooth very well you can click on the picture to make it bigger ;)

Princess Rachel

Rachel really loves to dress up. She is always bringing me crowns, hats, capes, jewerly and glasses so I can put them on her. I wonder if it's because she started out young? Either way she sure is cute!
