Would You, Could You On a Train?: SF part 5

We got to take the girls on a real train ride. They LOVED it. Hannah liked getting to hold her ticket and give it to the conductor.
Waiting for the train to come.

We told Hannah that you are not supposed to cross the yellow line until after the train is stopped at the station. One time I accidentally crossed it while I was looking down the tracks and she STILL talks about how I broke this rule. "Be careful, Mommy!"
I don't think Hannah knew what to expect at first.

Little Rachel could have watched the trains coming and going all day long. It was so fun to see her get excited as the trains whizzed past us.
Hannah was so happy on the train. She loved looking out the window.

We got to ride the train a few times back and forth between the stations.

Hannah was extra lucky because after Grandpa came home from work he took her on the train again. She even got a donut.
Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for taking us on the train! What a fun day!

Hannah's Party: San Francisco Part 4

We celebrated Hannah's 3rd birthday while we were in San Francisco. I can't believe she is 3! She is such a big girl. Oh, how we love our Hannah!

Hannah requested a Super Why birthday cake. She LOVES Super Why. See the little guy in the picture? That's him. She carries him everywhere. For those of you who don't know about Super Why, he is a "super reader." Anyway...Hannah really liked her cake.
She picked out the candles and helped put them on the cake.
I love the birthday hat. It has 3 candles on it.
Enjoying the yummy cake.
We had a really fun time celebrating Hannah's birthday. Thanks for the fun party Grandma and Grandpa!

Oakland Zoo: San Francisco Part 3

We went to the Oakland zoo while we were in San Francisco. The girls had a great time. It was so fun to take Rachel there are remember when we took Hannah when she was little.

Sister's riding the turtle together.

Rachel pet the goats!

I was pretty proud because she isn't the "animal lover" that Hannah is.

Checking out the elephants with Grandma and Grandpa.
Rachel loved riding the train...

but Hannah skipped the train so she could ride the motorcycles...

and the cars.
Both girls loved the carousel!

Hugs for Mommy on the carousel

Birthday Stats

The girls had their well baby check-ups today. This is the first time they had thier appointments together and it went well. I think I will do it that way from now on. Anyway...here are the stats:

Hannah is 37 3/4" tall (75th %) and weighs 30 lbs and 2 oz. (50th%). She was fantastic at the doctors office and did great letting the doctor check her out. She had 3 shots in her arms and did great--she didn't cry at all.

Rachel is 30 1/2" tall (90th%) and weighs 18lbs 2oz. (10th%). She did really well letting the doctor check her out. She had 4 shots in her arms and did cry for a while. Poor little baby!
All in all they are healthy girls. And cute to boot! :)
More San Francisco posts coming soon.

Rachel's Birthday Party: San Francisco Part 2

After our fun day in the city (see previous post) we went home and had a little party for Rachel.

Rachel loves Big Bird. Remember this? She carries this photo around our house saying "Big Bird".

So, we took the hint and made her a Big Bird cake. I think she really liked it.

Rachel was a little confused by the candle.

Good thing she has a big sister to help out. Thanks, Hannah!

Bye, bye!
