La Brea Tar Pits

We visited the La Brea Tar Pits in downtown LA. Good thing we didn't get stuck in the tar. We did get stuck in a lot of traffic.

Learning what it feels like to be stuck in tar

Rachie was in heaven, lots of small tiny things to look at, her favorite.

Doing cousin Eli's elephant sign

Rachel loves puzzles

Help, I'm being attacked by a saber toothed Hannah!

Now by wolf Rachel!
Uh oh they've teamed up to get the big sloth
Nice picture taking Hannah
bunny Rachie
We went on the excavator tour where they showed us a tar pit filled with bones
Rachie got the best spot right next to the tour guide
The girl with the cell phone was visiting from Issaquah, too.

Working on an active dig site
The girls started searching for their own treasures.

It looks like it's changed a lot since we all went 20 years ago. Hannnah is a good photographer- I love the photo of you and Ashley!

Looks like a lot of fun! I am glad that no one got stuck in the tar and you have learned a new Spanish word. Brea means tar.
